The School of Asian and African Languages invited Ms. Ma Liya from Dali University to give a lecture on "Teaching Innovation and Practice Under the Background of the Construction of First-class Courses for Foreign Languages and Non-Common Languages"


On October 13th, the School of Asian and African Languages invited Ms. Ma Liya, associate professor of the School of Foreign Languages of Dali University, to give a lecture on the theme of Teaching Innovation and Practice under the Background of the Construction of First-class Courses for Foreign Languages and Non-Common Languages.



Ms. Ma first pointed out the problems existing in the construction of first-class courses, and then explained the types, construction goals and construction status of first-class courses. Then, Teacher Ma elaborated on how to achieve reform and innovation, "High order and Creative Teaching", and how to establish a mixed online and offline teaching model around the overall goal of first-class curriculum construction.


Next, Ms. Ma listed the problems found in the construction of non-common language courses and teaching competitions, and then explained the necessity of teaching and reform by analyzing "the relationship between courses, majors and disciplines" and "the relationship between talent training goals, curriculum goals and graduation requirements".


Finally, Ms. Ma Liya took the course "Basic Thai Language" of Dali University as an example to analyze the teaching pain points in the course. Then, Mr. Ma explained in detail a series of effective innovation approaches and shared the remarkable results achieved under these innovative approaches.


After the lecture, Ms. Li Shufang, Ms. Jin Jie and Ms. Ma Liya from the Thai Language Teaching and Research Department of the College of Asian and African Languages discussed the employment of fresh Thai graduates and looked forward to more exchanges and cooperation in teaching innovation and practice in the future.
