On July 11, the closing ceremony of the 4th pre-job training program for International Chinese Education Volunteers in 2025, organized by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of China's Ministry of Education, was held in the auditorium on the first floor of the International Cultural Exchange Center at our university. Vice President Liu Fengguang attended and delivered a speech, joined by representatives from relevant departments and staff, as well as all trainees and faculty representatives.

In her address, Vice President Liu Fengguang emphasized that International Chinese Education Volunteers shoulder the important mission of promoting friendly exchanges between China and other countries. She encouraged the trainees to serve as cultural ambassadors during their overseas assignments, showcasing the charm of Chinese culture by telling China's stories and presenting a credible, appealing, and respectable image of China to the international community.

During the ceremony, all trainees revisited memorable moments from the training. Vice President Liu Fengguang presented them with training certificates. Wang Yanming, representing the training faculty, and Han Chenxi, speaking on behalf of the trainees, shared reflections on their growth and achievements during the program. The ceremony concluded on a warm and uplifting note as all participants sang the anthem of International Chinese Education Volunteers, "The Flowers of the Universe Bloom."

This five-week training adopted a hybrid online-offline model, covering modules such as ideals and beliefs, volunteerism, Chinese teaching skills, cultural dissemination, and pre-departure guidance. Through lectures, case studies, group discussions, and other interactive formats, the program comprehensively enhanced the participants' overall competencies. A total of 96 trainees from 37 universities, including Beijing Language and Culture University, Shanghai International Studies University, and Dalian University of Technology, successfully completed the training and will soon embark on teaching assignments in 19 countries, including Egypt, Russia, and the UK.

Since 2009, Dalian Foreign Studies University has conducted 49 pre-job training sessions for Chinese directors of Confucius Institutes, dispatched Chinese language teachers, and International Chinese Education Volunteers, training a cumulative total of 6,864 participants.
