In May 2025, the Department of Civil Affairs of Liaoning Province issued the "Notice on Conducting the 2025 Evaluation of Provincial Social Organizations." Aligning with the provincial foundation evaluation criteria, the Education Development Foundation of our university systematically advanced its preparatory work, earning unanimous recognition from the expert panel for its distinct party-building leadership, sound institutional framework, targeted public welfare initiatives, and positive social reputation.

Registered as a non-profit social organization in June 2016, the foundation was first awarded the 5A-level social organization rating in December 2020. This renewal of the rating serves as another authoritative affirmation of its long-term standardized operations and public welfare achievements.

In recent years, the foundation has focused on improving its governance structure, establishing a diversified fundraising community under the unified leadership of the board of directors, with functional departments performing their duties precisely, secondary schools collaborating effectively, and alumni branches both domestically and internationally responding actively.

Through multiple measures such as expanding university-enterprise cooperation donations, establishing specialized development funds for schools, and creating dedicated alumni donation platforms, the foundation has continuously broadened its fundraising channels, optimized its fundraising structure, and promoted steady growth in total fundraising.

Simultaneously, the foundation has systematically developed diversified public welfare projects focusing on key areas such as discipline construction, scholarships and grants, and campus development. These efforts include funding outstanding students in need through scholarships and grants, as well as advancing projects like the Alumni Square to build a spiritual home for the community, ensuring that charitable donations translate into tangible outcomes.

This renewal of the 5A-level rating marks a significant milestone in the development of our university’s foundation.

Moving forward, the foundation will seize this opportunity to continuously strengthen its internal development, broaden fundraising channels, and optimize its public welfare project system, thereby contributing greater strength to support the high-quality development of education at Dalian University of Foreign Languages.
