On the morning of March 24, the university held a themed event "Sharing My Story of Educating Students" in the Conference Room 601 of Chengzhi Building, aiming to vigorously promote the educator’s spirit and fully demonstrate the new-era demeanor of our teachers in fostering virtue through education, dedication to their posts, integrating Chinese and foreign cultures, and educating people through literature. Zhao Yong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President; Li Yan, Zhang Jiao, Li Hui and Yang Hui, Members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee; heads of relevant functional departments and persons in charge of ethics and conduct construction in all secondary schools attended the event. Young faculty members who have joined the university in the past three years watched and learned on site.
The participants in this presentation covered a wide range of roles with strong representativeness, including front-line teachers dedicated to teaching, full-time counselors accompanying students’ growth, and logistics and security staff quietly devoted to their duties.These true, vivid and heartfelt stories vividly illustrate the profound meaning of "four-good teachers" and fully demonstrate the professional demeanor and sense of responsibility of the faculty and staff of Dalian University of Foreign Languages, who love their jobs, devote themselves to educating students and make selfless contributions.
At the end of the event, Vice President Zhao Yong delivered a concluding speech.He fully affirmed the educational value and exemplary significance of this themed presentation, expressed his gratitude to the participating teachers for their sincere sharing and hard work, and placed high hopes on all teachers to turn the power of role models into educational practice and integrate ethics and norms into the whole process of education.
